Edmonton -PCAA President Bill Smith announced today the executive director of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta will leave her position, effective immediately. 
</p>

<p>
Pat Godkin has been with the PCAA for 14 years, including the last two years as executive director. 'Pat has been a friend and an example of leadership in our Party,' says Smith. 'She dedicated years to helping make our Party responsive to its members, and a source of pride for our elected representatives.' 
</p>

<p>
PCAA Leader and Premier Alison Redford praised Godkin for the work she did throughout the leadership campaign. 
</p>

<p>
'Commitment to public life takes many forms, and Pat performed admirably in an arena that is pressure-packed,' said Premier Redford. 'She was at the helm of a leadership process that was complex with many moving parts, but she kept the Party moving forward. 'Her years of experience and historical knowledge of our Party will be missed.' 
</p>

<p>
Godkin said she is looking forward to the future after years of PCAA involvement. 
</p>

<p>
'Working for the Party has been at times overwhelming, at times frustrating, but overall one of the best experiences of my life,' she says. 'I wish the PCAA all the very best as our party heads into a bright future with an excellent new Leader.' 
</p>

<p>
The PCAA executive is in the process of developing a process to select a candidate to take on the executive director position on a long-term basis.

P.C. Association of Alberta President Bill Smith, in consultation with Premier Alison Redford, today announced that the Campaign Manager for the PC Party in the next provincial general election will be Susan Elliott. 
</p>

<p align='left'>
Ms. Elliott has over 35 years of campaign experience and political involvement in the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party as well as the federal Progressive Conservative and Conservative Parties. Ms. Elliott managed communications and advertising during the 2008 election campaign for the PC Party; and was a Senior Advisor on Premier Redford's leadership campaign. 
</p>
