Edmonton - The PCAA nominees for the Senate selection process will each give speeches Feb. 10, outlining why they want to represent PC Alberta in the next provincial election.
The speeches will be held from 7 -8 pm at the Radisson South in Edmonton (4440 Gateway Blvd).
The public is welcome and arrangements will be made to accommodate media.
The speeches will be live-streamed through the PCAA website (www.albertpc.ab.ca).
The Senate nominees are Doug Black, Doug Fee, Greg Krischke, Jack Redekop, Mike Shaikh, Sam Shaw, and Scott Tannas.
Voting will take place Feb. 10-11 at the Radisson. Eligible voters include all nominated PC candidates, PC Constituency Association Presidents, and delegates from constituency associations that will include members of the PC Youth.
The top three vote-getters will represent PC Alberta in the Senator Selection election which will run concurrent with the province’s 2012 general election.
The Government of Alberta has committed to submit a list of "elected" nominees to the Prime Minister for him to select Alberta Senators from.
